The Training and Placement Cell organizes a number of training programs for the students of all semesters with the help of in-house experts and experts drawn from professional agencies. The activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping the career of students. The staff members of the placement cell work together as a team in moulding the students to the requirements of various industries. Several career guidance programs, reasoning tests, aptitude tests, puzzle-solving, group discussions, mock interviews, brainstorming sessions, sharing the experiences and communication skills etc., are organized on a regular basis. In order to motivate and develop the personality of students, several HRD training programs are conducted regularly.
The Department has succeeded in bringing the following companies to the institution for Central as well as On-Campus Recruitment and sincerely monitor to more & more students have been placed.
One of the major inactive includes creating a temperament for setting up of enterprises by our graduates. So far around 600+ of our graduates (Diploma Engineers and Skilled under Skill Development Programs) have set up their own enterprises and operating successfully. Many of such enterprises have received hand holding support from our institute. We have also rendered help to this young enterprises in the domains of Market tie-up, Networking, Tie-up with banks and other finical institutions.
In this endeavor we have developed strong linkages with Industry Associations, relevant Govt. Departments viz. Bengal Chamber of commerce, MSME department, DIC etc.
Seminars and Workshops are regularly held with above mentioned organizations to motivate the final year students to become successfully entrepreneurs.
